At Iceberg Interactive we publish independent video games from all over the world. That means we find them, fund them, manage them, test them, localise them, market them, hype them, share them, distribute them, sell them – and sometimes, we even play them!

It’s a lot of work, that’s why we’re looking for a new intern to help us on our Public Relations team.

Our PR team is responsible for generating publicity around our games by communicating with press and content creators and providing any assets they require to produce media coverage.

As a Public Relations Assistant you will support this team with tasks such as maintaining coverage reports, updating & enriching press lists and keeping track of competitors. You will also work with the wider Marketing team to discuss and plan campaigns, and suggest other ways to gather publicity for our games. The role is suited to a versatile candidate with good research and organisational skills.

Beyond Marketing, you will get to spend time testing new games and helping to assess potential new projects with our production and business development team, gaining valuable insight into the complete process of creating, marketing and releasing an indie video game.

Internship tasks:

• Monitor the internet for coverage
• Maintain databases and reports
• Help to promote our games internationally
• Help to implement Marketing plans
• Collaborate with the developers of our games
• Test new video games

• You are enrolled in study that is relevant to this internship
• You are legally entitled to study/work in The Netherlands
• You have a passion for games and curiosity about the industry behind them
• You have a structured way of working and an eye for detail
• You are able to travel to Haarlem on a sustainable, daily basis
• You are comfortable speaking and writing in English professionally

The internship is for a duration of 5 months and starts in September 2021.
