We’ve teamed up with indie developer Cybernetic Walrus for the fastest anti-gravity racing game ever made: Antigraviator. Antigraviator will launch simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Q2 2018.
In the year 2210, racing has evolved far beyond its expected limits. New terraforming capabilities paired with scientific breakthroughs in the field of antigravity have given birth to a new spectacle: the Antigraviator tournament. A light-speed danger, chaos and mayhem racing tournament, set across four different worlds with three tracks each.
Players can participate in the tournament by themselves in the single-player campaign. They can challenge their friends in competitive online multiplayer and split-screen multiplayer modes.
Gamers can sabotage their fellow competitors by using traps. Power-ups and boosts will allow racers overtake their opponents and dominate the tracks. Another strategic layer is added to the game through ship customization.
The ships, Gravs, are customizable. However, deciding on one upgrade may mean compromising on another. In addition to customization options, unlockable skins will be available free of charge.
Once the game goes live we’ll introduce a worldwide leaderboard. Racers on top of the board will earn special ranked skins to commemorate their victories.
Antigraviator is being developed by Belgian indie studio Cybernetic Walrus. Cybernetic Walrus is founded by four alumni from Howest, University College West Flanders. They studied Digital Arts and Entertainment and graduated recently. The anti-gravity racing game is their first release.
The game is made with the Unity engine. The developer’s use of Unity has garnered them much acclaim. They were nominated for the 2017 Unity Awards in the category ‘Best Student Project’. Cybernetic Walrus spoke at Unite Austin 2017, where they gave a presentation on the development of Antigraviator.
